Privacy: Sbu Subscriptions
Sbu Subscriptions collects and sends no personal data. It has no accounts, analytics, ads or tracking tools, and it connects to no server of sbu.dev or of third parties. It uses your own iCloud only if you turn on Sync with iCloud or share a list.
What you enter stays on your iPhone and in the backups you make, on iCloud or on your computer.
Permissions
- Notifications, only when a subscription has a reminder. They come from your iPhone, not from a server.
- Files, only when you use Export CSV or Import CSV. The file exists only when you ask for it, and you save it where you choose. Import reads only the file you pick.
- iCloud, only if you turn on Sync with iCloud, off by default. With sync on, your subscriptions go to your own iCloud's private database, never to sbu.dev, to reach your other devices. sbu.dev does not see them. To stop, turn the switch off; the iCloud copy is deleted from Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
- Shared lists, only if you share a list with the button next to its name, in Settings > Lists. The name of the list and of each subscription in it, with price, currency, cycle, dates and status, go to a space in your iCloud that only the people you invite can read, through Apple, never through sbu.dev. Notes, websites, payment methods and reminders never travel. The people you invite need iCloud and Sbu Subscriptions, see the list read only and can remove it anytime. To stop, tap the button again and stop sharing, or delete the list. When someone shares a list with you, it stays on your iPhone, apart from your subscriptions, until you remove it or they stop sharing.
- Siri and Shortcuts, if you use them. Answers about what you spend come only with the iPhone unlocked.
- Exchange rates are the ECB reference rates, included in the app with each version. The app doesn't download them.

This site
sbu.dev uses no cookies or analytics. Its scripts open the menu on your phone and run the tools, like the subscription cost calculator: they run in your browser and send nothing. The server that hosts it receives your IP address to deliver the pages, like any web server.
