Privacy: Sbu Find

Sbu Find collects and sends no personal data. It has no accounts, analytics, ads or tracking tools, and it connects to no server.

What you enter stays on your iPhone and in the backups you make, on iCloud or on your computer.

Permissions

  • Bluetooth, to hear nearby devices. With the app closed it listens only to your saved devices that advertise a service, and only if you turned on the alert or the places for them. What it hears stays on the iPhone.
  • Notifications, only if you turn on Notify me if I lose it.
  • Location, only if you turn on Remember where you heard them; "Always" only to do it with the app closed too. Places stay on the iPhone and out of iCloud backups.

This site

sbu.dev uses no cookies or analytics. Its scripts open the menu on your phone and run the tools, like the subscription cost calculator: they run in your browser and send nothing. The server that hosts it receives your IP address to deliver the pages, like any web server.
