Find lost earbuds nearby
Sbu Find listens to the Bluetooth around you and guides you to the headphones, earbud or device you lost: the closer you get, the higher the percentage.
Sbu Find only hears Bluetooth Low Energy devices that are on and out of their case, and it measures signal strength, not distance.
80%Signal
What it does
- Nearby devices with name, type and a ring showing signal strength
- Hot and cold search: a filtered percentage that doesn't jump, with a word next to it, from Cold to Very close
- A tick that speeds up and a vibration as you get closer, so you search without looking at the screen
- Your devices at the top of the list, recognized by name too when iOS changes their identifier
- Play a sound in headphones still connected to your iPhone, starting soft and growing
- Notify me if I lose it: a notification when you stop hearing one of your devices
- On the map, where your iPhone was when it last heard it
- The search on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island
- A step-by-step guide to find a single earbud
- Help that says plainly what Sbu Find cannot hear, and when to use Apple's Find My
- Light and dark, Dynamic Type, VoiceOver
What it does not do
- Asks for no subscription
- Sells no in-app purchases
- Needs no account
- Shows no ads
- Does not track you
- Sends none of your data to sbu.dev
Questions
Is Sbu Find really free?
Yes. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads, no account. The search, Play a sound, the alert and the map too.
What can it find?
Headphones, earbuds, watches, speakers and other Bluetooth Low Energy devices, if they are on and out of their case. A device that is off or flat sends nothing, and Sbu Find cannot hear it.
Is the percentage the distance?
No. It says how strong the signal is: it rises as you get closer, but walls, metal and your own body lower it. Walk slowly and give the number a moment to settle.
What about AirPods, iPhone or AirTag far away?
Use Apple's Find My, which finds them on its network and plays a sound on them even in the case. Sbu Find cannot see the Find My network, and plays a sound only in headphones still connected to your iPhone.
